I've read through the comments on the feedback post, and by the volume of them I feel a more public apology is in order.
First and foremost of everything, I'm very sorry for being a subpar mod. I agree with most of what was written, in that I had trouble with IC/OOC boundaries and availability issues. I also realize that I took on too much in regards to what I could handle and got way too ambitious, re: the number of NPCs and the direction of the plot. By about Week 9/10 I was beginning to feel severely burned out and so began to neglect my mod duties or do them half-heartedly. Regardless of that feeling, this was a commitment I signed up for, and avoidance was an unacceptable action to take. Focusing too much attention on the NPCs and trying to have them be my own characters as opposed to giving more attention to the actual player characters was another area I severely misstepped in.
The IC/OOC boundary issues are more related to some personal problems I've been having as of late (that made dealing with IC PvP difficult), exacerbated by the burnout I felt around endgame time, but nonetheless it was something that should not have happened, especially from a mod. I'm extremely sorry for the exclusion many of you felt during the endgame plotting because of my avoidance and inability to deal with those personal issues properly and dragging them into the game.
I've spoken to Eski and Tsugumi in private, but it does bear repeating that they did go above and beyond a normal co-mod's duties in cleaning up the mess I left the game in, particularly with endgame and plotting out the last few murder cases. So thank you, both of you, for all your hard work modding. It's a late-coming thanks, and I again apologize for that.
